Orange Sweet Rolls

Orange Sweet Rolls

Orange Sweet Rolls are the closest thing to a little piece of heaven. Make these for Sunday brunch for a gathering, holiday or just because they’re delicious.

Fluffy and perfectly sweet with lots of fresh orange flavor. I like using fresh squeezed orange juice instead of store bought, it’s not a sweet. The zest of the orange will also give these rolls lots of fragrance and fresh flavor.

Orange Sweet Rolls

I use two whole oranges in this recipe, it might sound like a lot, but between the rolls, filling and the glaze. It has a cohesive orange flavor in every bite.

A microplane to is probably one of my single most used kitchen items. I use it for grating garlic, zesting citrus or even grating parmesan.

Make these rolls a day ahead all the way up to the baking part, store in the refrigerator covered overnight and in the morning just pop in the oven and bake to wake up the whole house with heavenly orange roll smells. It’s my favorite fragrance.

  • The Orange rolls are delicious. Making them again. One direction correction. We roll out the dough to 24” rectangle. Then you tell us to cut 12 1” rolls. That would be 24 1” rolls. Instead I did 12 2” rolls.

  • 2nd time in 38 yrs that I decided to try my hand at cinnamon/ orange rolls. This recipe was so easy to make and the dough turned out so spongy and tasty. I am making these rolls again and again and again. And each time I make them, the flavor will be different. Thank you so much…cheers!

  • I made a half batch for my first attempt. The filling ended up seeping out and on the bottom of the pan. Not sure how to prevent this from happening once the butter and sugar heat up and liquify. Any suggestions?
