Apple Goat Cheese Turkey Sliders has layers of flavors. Sweet, salty, tangy, and so savory. I wanted to create a recipe that was healthy, fresh, and comforting too. Man, did I succeed with this one.
Ground turkey is very lean and cuts the normal beef slider calories in half. So of course this lean healthful slider needed a little bacon influence. Because no matter what the situation in a kitchen, the answer is always bacon. A flavorful trick I use with all my burgers is adding chopped up crispy bacon to the beef. With this recipe it’s more like a stuffed burger. I fold in shredded green apple, goat cheese crumbles, AND chopped up bacon. Can you say FLAVOR, FLAVOR, FLAVOR?!
Goat cheese and the apple are flavors that were just made for each other, one is tangy and one is sweet. If you’re not a big goat cheese fan I suggest using feta or even brie. Brie will melt differently but it would be delicious sliced and served on top of the turkey patty.
A griddle pan,<<click this link for my favorite, is imperative when making this recipe. It’s easy to cook everything with one pan and makes for easy cleanup. Plus, burgers cooked on a griddle surface is the only way to cook a burger.
This is a great recipe to serve low-carb. Wrap your turkey sliders in lettuce for a healthy alternative.

Look at how perfectly bite sized these sliders are! A cute little burger packed with lots of flavor. I highly suggest you make this for your next gathering. And speaking of gatherings, you’re going to need a tasting beverage to wash this cute little slider down with.
Instead of a wine pairing recommendation, I’m going to give you a BEER recommendation. I know it seems just wrong, but this pairing is oh so right. The tangy goat cheese and crisp green apple is going to pair perfectly with a Hefeweizen, it’s refreshing, fruity, and has slight spice notes like clove. It’s beer pairing heaven with this slider.
