Happy Mother’s Day! – Victoria
Wusthof 8 Inch Chef’s Knife
When I started culinary school everyone got a german chef knife. I am simply a fan of these knives. They hold their edge really well, are balanced in your hand, and really do make a difference than any other less expensive option. I use this knife every day for almost every meal I cook in my kitchen.
Knives can range in price and I find this one to be a great value. Don’t put your knives in the dishwasher and beat them up, and they will last a really long time. I find this is the perfect size knife as well. Not too long or too short.
Anova Sous Vide Cooker Nano
Sous Vide cooking may seem weird at first but it makes cooking approachable once you give it the first try. What I love the most about this little kitchen device is it ensure to cook your proteins to the best temperature without the worry of overcooking.
Anova ensures the water stays at the same temperature. This allows for a cooking time to range. As long as the water temperature stays the same, the food will not be overcooked. This lets you cook food and not be in a rush to time out your other dishes. Here is one of my favorite sous vide recipe for fried chicken.
Hand Crank Pasta Maker
Homemade pasta is something I think everyone should at least try twice. The finished product just tastes better and it is not difficult to make. I would even say it is fun! A pasta maker does make it a little easier and gives you more options for types of pasta to make.
See my easy homemade pasta recipe for a great meal at home. This hand-crank pasta maker is easy to use and will work for a long time. Try it today!
Large Ravioli Maker
When you have made your first pasta the options are endless for the types of food you can make. A great way to get more homemade food into your home is ravioli. They are delicious and the options of fillings are endless.
This is an easy simple ravioli maker form. You need two sheets of pasta that are used to lay over the mold. Then press it together after putting in your filling, you are ready to cook and eat. Here is a great recipe for homemade ravioli.
Ravioli Cutter Stamps
These ravioli stamps make it easy to make large ravioli for your family. Simply roll out your pasta, place your filling, cover with another sheet, and then stamp out the ravioli! It really is that easy.
Try making different types of pasta to give extra color to your dish. Find a recipe for beet and spinach ravioli here. This is one of my favorites.
KitchenAid Ravioli Maker
If your Mother has a KitchenAid Stand Mixer that she absolutely adores then this is a perfect attachment for her. Ravioli is great food and one that makes all the difference when you can make them from scratch.
The problem with them is how time-consuming they can be to make. This ravioli maker makes a long job into an easy and fun experience.
KitchenAid Pasta Roller
KitchenAid has been around for years and years. They make so many great accessories and this pasta roller is one of them. Use this great machine to help make dinner and find out it is not just for baking recipes.
Add to your KitchenAid gadgets with a great pasta roller that will make it easier to make pasta at home quickly and easily. Homemade pasta is just so delicious!
KitchenAid Pasta Press
When you have made pasta with other rollers and tools it may be time to try making different types of pasta. This pasta press that attaches to your KitchenAid makes it easy to make all different kinds of pasta.
Pasta can be made at home easily and quickly and this press will make dinner a treat. The different attachments can give you the same pasta you see on all store shelves but made fresh, right at home.

FoodSaver Vacuum Sealer
If you are getting into Sous Vide cooking, a vacuum sealer will take your cooking to the next level. A vacuum sealer is great to put all of your ingredients in a bag that cooks evenly and without hassle in the water bath.
My favorite recipe is to add butter, garlic, and rosemary with a steak, and vacuum seal the bag. This is not prepped and ready to cook. You can freeze the steak for another day and when you are ready to cook it, just through it into the Sous Vide cooker and start the path to the perfect steak. See my recipe for another variation of pork chops here.
Sous Vide Container And Lid
This container helps hold your Anova sous vide cooker and makes it easy to just set on your counter while using it. No need now to use one of your pots with the added benefit of being able to watch your food cook. One of the few things in my kitchen that has multiple purposes but the perfect add on for a sous vide cooker.
All-Clad Non-stick Pan
This Stainless Steel All-Clad non-stick pan is a great gift for anyone looking to reduce the amount of oil that they use while cooking. Many of these so-called non-stick pans either simply do not work and just cannot hold up to the wear and tear of normal use.
If taken care of properly this pan can last a long time. All-Clad includes detailed instructions for how to care for this pan to ensure that it lasts.
OXO Good Grips Cutting Board
I am not a big fan of using wooden cutting boards to actually cut things on. A lot of my wooden cutting boards are used mostly as a serving platter. These plastic cutting boards are easy on your knives and double-sided. You can use one side for meat and the other for veggies. They truly are ideal for food prep.
The biggest benefit for me is that these are dishwasher safe and there is no extra care needed after washing. No need to worry about them being too wet, or sealing them after so many uses. Rest assured that you can keep them clean with the rest of your kitchen.
Baking Sheet And Rack Set
This sheet and rack are a must for all kitchens. A high-quality baking sheet can be used almost every day in my house. From roasting vegetables, easy baked brie, and our weekly staple, baked panko chicken, a good sheet pan is a must.
Baked panko chicken is the best example of a recipe that uses the sheet pan and the rack. Baking the chicken in the oven on the rack ensures the chicken is baked perfectly, you may not crave fried chicken ever again.
In-Drawer Bamboo Knife Block
I have never been a fan of having a knife block on my counter. I try to keep most things off the counter to give me as much space as I can. I found this a few years ago and it really solved a problem I always was dealing with. Putting my knives in a drawer to bounce around and hit each other is not good for the knives. When you reach into the drawer to grab a knife you have to watch out for the other blades on the knives and that was a little unsettling.
This in-drawer block has been amazing. It stores all of your knives in the drawer, they sit on bamboo to help ensure the edges stay sharp. Not only does it hold your chef knife, boning knife, and serrated knife, the top portion can hold your small paring knife, or even a few steak knives. It really is a must-have if you have your knives in a drawer.
Counter Top Salt Container
The biggest difference between home cooking and getting food at a restaurant is salt. After culinary school and working in the kitchen in restaurants, most people would be surprised how much salt goes into their food. This salt container, or any for that matter, should live on your countertop next to your stove full of kosher salt, ready to add to every meal you make.
I always make sure the salt is right there within arms reach to quickly add salt quickly and easily. If you find yourself always forgetting the salt in your cooking, add this to the counter and it will make it hard to miss and forgot. Your tastebuds will thank you.
Even though I like to keep my knives in the drawer, I do keep my wooden spoons, spatulas, and a whisk right next to the stove. This makes it easy and quick to grab the right utensil when making a meal. I don’t have to turn away or take my eyes off my pan for very long to find the right tool for the job.
Sometimes a dish might take tongs to start and then need a spoon to finish. This holder makes it easy to grab what you use most.
This is a simple and small gift idea for Mom. As long as her pans are able to be used with metal utensils a fish spatula is a great upgrade to her kitchen. It’s easy to overlook a spatula when thinking about upgrading your kitchen equipment but it is a tool you are likely to be using every day.
This simple design is comfortable to hold and the spatula itself is very thin. This makes getting under the crispy fish skin without any sticking to a pan a breeze. These are also great for any other dishes where a thin spatula is needed.
3-Tier Collapsible Cooling Rack
This is a great gift for any Mom that loves to bake. Space is a premium when baking and this 3-tier cooling rack makes it easy to cook multiple batches of cookies or cake layers without taking up too much space.
When not in use it folds onto itself for easy storage. This is a great low-cost gift that will be appreciated.
GreenPan Non-Stick Pan
If you are looking for a more economical option for a non-stick pan that still works, then this pan is the best option on the market. If taken care of this pan will work and last you a long time. The 12” size is perfect for most recipes and its low profile size means it won’t take up too much room in the cupboard.
The non-stick coating is toxin-free and does not produce harmful fumes. This really is one of if not the best pans you can get.
Sopito Professional Potato Cutter
It’s hard for homemade french fries to stand up to their fast-food counterparts but with the help of a good french fry cutter, you can get them very close to their take out counterparts. This Sopito Professional Potato Cutter is well made and looks nice. It is easy to load and use and will perfectly cut a whole potato in the perfect batch of fries.
The base plate that comes with the cutter makes for thicker fries than what you might be used to at some drive-thru locations. Make you get the 3/8 inch blade option attachment for thinner fries that match what you are used to when going.
This is one of those kitchen tools that are fun to use and produce great results. Which makes it the perfect gift for Mom.
Mom’s Kitchen Cookbook/Tablet Stand Recipe Holder
If your Mom likes to follow along or try out new recipes like from Dash Of Savory then this is a great gift idea.
It’s well crafted from bamboo and is engraved with Mom’s Kitchen. It can hold typical cookbooks and tablets for easy reference while cooking.
Cast Iron Pan Organizer
If your Mom enjoys cooking with cast iron and has more than one pan then she could use this organizer. It allows you to store up to 5 separate pans safely without causing damage to the pans themselves. This is a great gift that will help free up some space in the kitchen for Mom.
