Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 cup {1 stick} Unsalted Butter, cubed {room temperature}
  • 3/4 cup Heavy Cream {room temperature}
Directions
  • Step 1 In a medium size saucepan, heat sugar over medium heat. Use a wooden spoon or spatula to stir the sugar every minute as it melts and begins to turn golden, about 5 minutes. When the sugar has melted reduce the heat to medium low. Stir in the cubed butter and keep stirring until butter is completely melted and bubbly, about 1 minute.
  • Step 2 Slowly pour in heavy cream, the mixture will rise and bubble up. Remove the pot from the heat and stir until caramel is combined and smooth.
  • Step 3 Allow caramel to cool for 5 minutes before serving or transfer to a mason jar to store in the refrigerator. Enjoy!
